Playtonic has announced that Yooka-Replaylee will be available on Pc, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Ninentendo. This definitive remastered edition of the original Yooka-Laylee from 2017 features enhancements by key creative talent behind classic titles like Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country.
The game will offer a revamped experience with new challenges alongside fan-favorite elements, allowing you to revisit the expansive and visually stunning open worlds as Yooka (the green character) and Laylee (the purple one). The soundtrack has been reworked into an orchestral score for a richer auditory experience. Additionally, the title introduces a world map and a new currency known as Q.U.I.D.S., alongside numerous customization options.
Since the game’s initial announcement following its world premiere in June, development has continued with Playtonic incorporating more refinements to Yooka-Replaylee. A recent trailer highlights several changes, including updates to Tribalstack Tropics and Glitterglaze Glacier, gameplay improvements, tweaked challenges, a new character named Coinelius, and a comprehensive visual overhaul encompassing the characters, environments, and user interface.
