MicroProse, known for its influential contributions to strategy games including Civilization, X-COM, Gunship, and Silent Service since 1982, has now partnered with independent developers Kyoto Video Game Concern to release their latest game, “Battlefall: State of Conflict.” This fast-paced real-time strategy (RTS) title is set in a world devastated by advanced weaponry.

Players will take control of one of three unique factions vying for dominance in this post-apocalyptic wasteland:

  • Earth Forces Network (EFNET): A militaristic faction with strong organizational capabilities.
  • Scrappers: A group known for their unpredictable tactics and resourcefulness.
  • Synthetic Enhanced Lifeforms (SEL): Ruthless synthetic beings that pose a significant threat to the other factions.

One of the key features of “Battlefall: State of Conflict” is its flexible customization system, allowing players to adapt their forces during gameplay. This flexibility aims to enhance strategic depth and provide endless possibilities for engagement.

The game includes:

  • Three Playable Factions: Each faction has a distinct campaign that guides players through unique storylines.
  • No Population Limits: Players can build large armies and expansive outposts, enabling creative and ambitious strategies.
  • Dynamic Gameplay Modes: Options include skirmishes and cooperative campaigns. Additionally, the built-in editors allow for custom map creation and rule customization.
  • Steam Workshop Integration: This feature allows players to share their own content with the community, enhancing the game’s replay value.

This new entry from MicroProse aims to offer players a richly detailed and strategic experience in a post-apocalyptic setting, leveraging the studio’s extensive history in creating immersive strategy games.
