Dark Curry has recently announced that their game, Undead Citadel, will make its debut on Meta Quest devices starting October 17, 2024. Initially available on SteamVR, the game retains all of its original features and content without any compromises.
Set against the haunting backdrop of a medieval world overrun by undead creatures, you are armed with over sixty different weapons—swords, maces, bows, and more—to fend off relentless hordes of enemies. The combat system is deeply rooted in physics, making each battle feel both immersive and dynamic.
In Story Mode, you’ll explore the lore of a cursed citadel, uncovering the dark mysteries behind the plague that has ravaged this world. For users with Steam-compatible VR sets like Quest or Pico, you can download the demo from SteamVR while waiting for its release on Meta Quest. To do so, you will need to connect your device to a PC.
While there’s been interest from the community for multiplayer modes, none are currently planned. Additionally, plans exist for a PSVR2 version, though no specific release date has been announced yet.
The game offers key features such as over sixty weapons for hand-to-hand combat, including swords, axes, war hammers, maces, shields, and two-handed options. The physics-based combat system ensures each fight feels realistic and dynamic. Story Mode includes puzzle-solving elements integrated into various scenarios to advance the narrative.
