Chimera Entertainment has announced the upcoming release of Songs of Silence, a new story-rich 4X strategy game that blends deep kingdom management with fast-paced tactical battles. Set in a world divided by light and darkness, Songs of Silence will launch on November 13 for Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
Classic 4x Strategy Meets Tactical Battles
Songs of silence combines the classic elements of 4x games—explore, expand, exploit, exterminate—with fast-paced real-time tactical battles. Players will manage resources, lead armies across strategic campaigns, and engage in multiplayer skirmishes that can be played both competitively and cooperatively.
Unique Factions and Art Nouveau Aesthetic
The game features three unique factions, each with its own strengths, units, and heroes, providing a varied gameplay experience. The visuals are inspired by the art nouveau movement, offering vibrant colors and elegant designs reminiscent of alphonse mucha’s work.
Strategic Depth Through Cards of Fate and Legendary Music
Players can utilize “cards of fate” to influence battles with unique actions and abilities, adding another layer of strategy. The game also features an original soundtrack composed by hitoshi sakimoto, known for his iconic works in the final fantasy series.
Development History and Early Access Feedback
Songs of silence was successfully funded on kickstarter within just eight hours earlier this year. It entered steam early access on june 4, 2024, where it has received nearly 500 overwhelmingly positive reviews from players who have already delved into its early access version.
