The long-awaited sequel to the acclaimed medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance is finally here. Warhorse Studios, in collaboration with publisher Deep Silver, has officially released Kingdom Come: Deliverance II on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Set in 15th-century Bohemia, the game continues the journey of Henry, a blacksmith-turned-warrior, in a richly detailed and historically authentic open world.
A Medieval World Brought to Life
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II picks up where its predecessor left off, immersing players in a war-torn Bohemia of 1403. Players will navigate political intrigue, feudal conflicts, and moral dilemmas as they guide Henry through a branching narrative shaped by their choices. The game boasts next-gen visuals, an orchestral soundtrack composed by Jan Valta, and enhanced gameplay mechanics that refine the original’s formula.
Key features include:
- An immersive open-world experience with bustling towns, serene countrysides, and dynamic NPC interactions.
- Expanded melee and ranged combat systems that emphasize realism and strategy.
- A morality-driven narrative where decisions have lasting consequences.
- Historical accuracy blended with cinematic storytelling for an engaging RPG experience.
New Gameplay Enhancements
The sequel introduces smoother combat mechanics compared to the first game. The directional attack system has been simplified for accessibility while retaining depth through combos and special techniques. Players can also explore new activities like crafting weapons, blacksmithing, and mastering alchemy. These systems add layers of immersion to the medieval life simulation.
Additionally, the game offers a more forgiving save system while maintaining its tension-filled survival elements. From stealthy infiltrations to large-scale battles, every encounter challenges players to think strategically.
Available Editions and Expansions
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is available in three editions:
- Standard Edition: Includes the base game.
- Gold Edition: Adds the Gallant Huntsman’s Kit DLC and an Expansion Pass for three upcoming story expansions.
- Collector’s Edition: Includes all Gold Edition content plus exclusive physical items like a Henry & Pebbles statue, a cloth map of Kuttenberg, enamel pins, collectible cards, and more.
The Gold Edition’s Expansion Pass promises additional content throughout 2025, including new quests and gameplay features like horse racing and Hardcore Mode. Pre-orders also grant access to the Lion’s Crest bonus questline.
A Soundtrack for the Ages
The game’s soundtrack is another standout feature. Composed by Jan Valta and recorded with live orchestras at Prague’s Rudolfinum, it blends symphonic elements with medieval-inspired music to enhance the atmosphere of 15th-century Bohemia. The soundtrack is available on Steam now and will arrive on Spotify later this month.
