Developer The Farm 51 has launched a Kickstarter campaign for Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone, the sequel to its post-apocalyptic survival RPG Chernobylite. The campaign includes a new gameplay video showcasing features such as switchable third-person and first-person combat perspectives.
Return to the Exclusion Zone
Chernobylite 2 will once again immerse players in the haunting and dangerous Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. Players will face the challenges of surviving in a world transformed by the Chernobylite disaster, battling mutated creatures and navigating complex factions vying for control.
The sequel promises a significantly expanded open world compared to its predecessor, allowing for deeper exploration of the Chernobyl area. Players can choose their own path through the game’s non-linear story, shaping their character’s skills and alliances as they strive to escape the Zone.

Expanded Gameplay Features
Chernobylite 2 introduces several new gameplay mechanics. The Planewalking system allows players to quickly switch between different skill sets and loadouts on the fly, offering greater tactical flexibility in combat.
The game features a revamped combat system with an emphasis on both melee and ranged encounters. Players can also utilize stealth tactics or recruit companions to aid them in battles. The crafting system has been expanded, allowing for more customization of weapons and equipment.
Kickstarter Campaign and Release Date
The Kickstarter campaign aims to secure funding for the game’s development. Backers will have access to various rewards, including exclusive in-game items and behind-the-scenes content.
Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone is slated for release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2025.
