Independent Swedish game studio CRG has announced the launch of its open beta for the action RPG Crystalfall, set to begin on December 13th. The event will include five distinct world zones, with the addition of two new areas: “Fallen Metropolis” and “Northern Lands.” Additionally, the studio is introducing a mage class called the Technomancer for the full game release in 2025.
Open Beta Details
The Open Beta will feature five world zones in total, including “Fallen Metropolis” and “Northern Lands,” as well as three existing areas. The event is scheduled to start on December 13th, offering players a chance to explore the steampunk-themed post-apocalyptic world of Crystalfall. The studio aims to gather extensive feedback from playtesting to refine and improve various game features.
Technomancer Class
The Technomancer class was developed in response to player requests and will be available at the full game release in 2025. As a crow hybrid mage, the Technomancer carries a steampunk staff powered by crystals, aligning with the game’s crystal technology and magic themes.
In addition to the new class, players can expect new weapons, gear, quests, dungeons, mobs, bosses, and more. The game offers socketables for talent trees and skill trees, providing numerous customization options to enhance gameplay.
Game Overview
Crystalfall is a hack ‘n’ slash action RPG where players take on the role of an escaped convict in a post-apocalyptic world. The game features randomized dungeons and bosses, deep itemization, and lootable skills with random skill trees. Players can customize their characters using an expanding talent tree and various gear options.
Availability
The Open Beta will be free-to-play, allowing players to delve into the game’s world without cost. To celebrate the beta launch, Crystalfall is offering supporter packs for a limited time on Razer Gold and Epic Store. The full release of Crystalfall is planned for 2025.
