Maximum Entertainment has announced the launch of their open-world city builder Overthrown, now available on Steam Early Access, Xbox Game Preview, and day one with Xbox Game Pass. The game allows players to build and manage a kingdom through chaotic co-op gameplay.
About Overthrown
In Overthrown, players take on the role of Runa, a monarch equipped with an ancient soul-stealing crown that grants magical abilities. With these powers, you can hurl objects—from houses and trees to citizens—to build your kingdom in a perilous wilderness while defending it from mutants and bandits.
The game supports up to six players in co-op mode, allowing friends to collaborate on building and managing the kingdom. Players can explore various buildings such as butcher shops, ale houses, and sawmills, witness seasonal changes with beautiful fall and winter foliage, farm their land, and use magical abilities to manage their kingdom efficiently.
Availability and Future Plans
Overthrown is now available in Steam Early Access, Xbox Game Preview, and through Xbox Game Pass on console, PC, and cloud. The full version of the game will be released later across Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5.
