3R Games, known for titles like “Thief Simulator VR: Greenview Street” and the upcoming “Monkies In The Brickland,” has announced its new spelunking adventure, Cave Crave, slated to release in Spring 2025 on Meta Quest and PSVR2. This immersive game aims to simulate realistic cave exploration with various environmental challenges.
Gameplay Highlights
Cave Crave features detailed, unpredictable environments that players must navigate without the aid of a map. Players will have to create their own navigation hints using chalk on cave walls. The game also includes destructible obstacles and full environmental interaction, allowing for creative problem-solving.
Mechanics and Challenges
A breath management system ensures players manage their oxygen levels while navigating tight spaces or avoiding drowning in mud lakes. Different biomes present unique challenges such as volcanic fumes and frost. Players must maintain their gear to keep it reliable, adding another layer of realism.
The game offers a default setting for an immersive cave experience without horror elements, but players can adjust the difficulty by enabling scarier features like cave spiders if they prefer a more challenging and eerie atmosphere.
Release Details
Cave Crave is set to launch in Spring 2025 for Meta Quest and Sony PlayStation VR2. Early pre-release builds will be available for media in February 2025.
