Legacy: Steel & Sorcery Brings High Fantasy to the Extraction Genre This February

The wait is almost over for fans of high-stakes multiplayer adventures. Legacy: Steel & Sorcery, a class-based multiplayer RPG that blends MMO PvP with crafting and exploration, is set to launch into Early Access on February 12, 2025. Following its success as one of Steam Next Fest’s standout titles last year, the game promises to deliver a fresh take on the burgeoning Extraction genre.

A Unique Blend of Fantasy and Strategy

Set in the mythical world of Mithrigarde, Legacy: Steel & Sorcery tasks players with scavenging for treasures, battling monsters, and outwitting rival adventurers. Whether playing solo or teaming up with friends in groups of up to three, players will need to balance combat prowess with strategic looting and survival skills. The game’s dynamic PvPvE system ensures that danger comes not only from the environment but also from other adventuring teams vying for the same spoils.

Players can choose from a variety of classes, including rogues, warriors, and magic users, each offering distinct playstyles. Future updates promise even more diversity with new classes like the Wizard and Paladin already in the pipeline. The game’s focus on RPG progression and crafting adds depth to its fast-paced gameplay, making it a standout in its genre.

A Veteran Team with a Vision

Legacy: Steel & Sorcery comes from a team of developers who spent over a decade working on World of Warcraft before branching out to create their own fantasy universe. Development on the game began long before the Extraction genre gained mainstream attention, allowing the team to craft a title that emphasizes exploration, looting, and leveling alongside its competitive PvP elements.

After several successful alpha tests, the Early Access launch will be priced at $24.99. The developers plan to use player feedback to refine gameplay mechanics and expand content during this phase.
