Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe has released SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada, a mecha-based PvPvE extraction shooter, now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. In this post-apocalyptic adventure, players take on the role of Drifters, pilots of customizable mechs called CRADLECOFFINS, as they explore the ruins of Amasia—a world devastated by poisonous rain and overrun by mutant creatures. With the help of AI companions known as Magus, players must battle enemies and other players to secure valuable resources for survival.
A World Ravaged by “The Tears of the New Moon”
Set in the year 2222, SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada unfolds after a catastrophic event called “The Tears of the New Moon” wiped out most of humanity and created deadly mutant creatures. The once-thriving city of Amasia, humanity’s last stronghold, fell mysteriously overnight, leaving its ruins as a battleground for survival. Players step into the shoes of Drifters, daring mech pilots who collect rare AO crystals while navigating the dangers of this hostile environment.
The CRADLECOFFINS mechs are highly customizable, allowing players to adapt their loadouts for combat and exploration. Meanwhile, Magus AI companions provide critical support during missions by offering combat abilities, tactical advice, and warnings about nearby threats. This partnership between Drifters and Magus is key to surviving the game’s challenging PvPvE mechanics.
Risk vs. Reward in Amasia
The gameplay in SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada emphasizes a delicate balance between risk and reward. Players must decide who to trust among other Drifters while battling mutants and scavenging valuable loot. Every venture into Amasia’s ruins carries high stakes—losing battles means forfeiting all collected resources, weapons, and CRADLECOFFIN upgrades.
Successful Drifters can rise through the ranks by completing missions to earn credits and resources. These rewards can be used to upgrade their mechs or improve their underground bunkers, which serve as homes for both Drifters and their Magus companions. However, every mission is a gamble that could cost players everything they’ve collected.
