Dragonkin: The Banished Reveals Playable Heroes Ahead of Early Access

Eko Software has unveiled three of the playable heroes coming to their upcoming Hack’n’Slash title, Dragonkin: The Banished. The game, which draws inspiration from classic entries in the genre, will enter early access on PC via Steam starting March 6, 2025, with a console release planned for the full launch.

Iconic Heroes With Unique Abilities

Set in a world ravaged by dragon blood corruption, Dragonkin: The Banished tasks players with battling monstrous creatures and colossal dragons to reclaim humanity’s lost lands. Players will choose from four legendary heroes, each mastering a different element and wielding unique combat techniques. The early access roster includes:

  • Lothair de Montdragon: A knight of the Order of the Eternal, Lothair wields a spear with masterful defense and commands the power of fire, incinerating his foes.
  • Electrane: This apprentice Oracle possesses a deep connection to dragonets and Dragonbloods. As a formidable mage, she unleashes destructive spells that harness both draconic and electrical powers from afar.
  • Rurik Haraldson: A fierce Nordic warrior who survived the brutal White Dragon blood initiation rite, Rurik boasts superhuman strength and ice manipulation abilities. He charges into battle with axe and hammer, striking fear into his enemies.

Ancestral Grid Skill System and Dragonet Companions

Players will further customize their chosen hero using the Ancestral Grid, a unique skill system that allows for diverse build paths. Each hero is also accompanied by a loyal dragonet, adding its own set of attributes and abilities to the battle. The early access launch on Steam will give players an opportunity to experience Dragonkin: The Banished‘s world and combat system while providing valuable feedback to the developers before the full console release.
