NCSOFT has announced Blade & Soul Neo, a remastered version of the popular fantasy MMORPG Blade & Soul. Coming soon to PC in North America and Europe, Neo promises enhanced graphics, updated gameplay systems, and the beloved core experience that captivated players originally.
Remastered Fantasy World
Built using Unreal Engine 4, Blade & Soul Neo boasts improved textures, lighting, animations, and environmental details. The game retains its signature Wuxia-themed world inspired by Asian mythology, where players can explore a vast open world and engage in fast-paced, action-oriented combat.
Players will revisit the original storyline, embarking on a quest to restore honor to their clan after it is decimated by enemy forces. They can choose from four races based on animal lore – Dragon, Qilin, Phoenix, and Turtle – and seven classes, each with unique abilities and playstyles: Assassin, Blade Dancer, Blade Master, Destroyer, Force Master, Kung Fu Master, and Summoner.
Enhanced Gameplay Features
Blade & Soul Neo introduces several gameplay refinements. The popular “Infinite Windwalk” ability, previously limited by stamina, is now freely accessible, allowing for fluid traversal and exploration of the world.
Combat has also been revamped with a focus on customization. Players can acquire “Skill Books” throughout their journey to unlock unique combat techniques and tailor their fighting style. The game’s action-based combat system emphasizes combos, counters, and strategic party roles, delivering a skill-based experience reminiscent of fighting games.
Pre-Registration and Launch
NCSOFT has launched pre-registration for Blade & Soul Neo, offering exclusive rewards such as a unique character outfit and in-game currency. The publisher plans to reveal more information about the game, including release details, through its website and community events in the coming weeks.
