Fatshark has launched the free Versus game mode for Warhammer: Vermintide 2, allowing players to engage in intense 4v4 battles as either five Heroes from Ubersreik or Skaven ratmen. Additionally, owners of Vermintide 2 will receive a new free DLC named Verminous Dreams, containing three levels that will be released incrementally starting December 9
The Versus mode features asymmetrical multiplayer action where teams alternate playing as the five Heroes with distinct careers and the Skaven ratmen. This dynamic gameplay offers diverse strategies and unpredictable matches set against the backdrop of Warhammer Fantasy universe maps, now reimagined for PvP combat.
To enhance player engagement, a new progression system has been introduced with challenges and rewards unique to Versus mode. Players can display their accomplishments not only in Versus but also across all of Vermintide 2’s content.
In addition to the launch of Versus mode, Fatshark announced Verminous Dreams, a free DLC that includes three levels set for release starting December 9 on all platforms, with two more levels expected early next year. This new content adds value for current players and provides fresh challenges within the game’s environment.
To access these features, players must own the base game, currently available at a discounted rate until November 26.
