SEGA has launched the open beta for Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O., which runs until December 17 at 05:00 GMT, ahead of its full release on Steam on January 28, 2025.

If you’re a fan of classic fighting games, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. is bringing back some nostalgic action with enhanced online multiplayer modes during this open beta phase. The demo lets players get a taste of what’s to come on January 28 when the full game hits Steam.

SEGA has made pre-orders available on the Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. Steam Store page with some great bonuses for early buyers. Pre-order perks include a set of three SEGA hardware customization items and access to the “30th Anniversary Edition.” This special edition comes packed with downloadable content, an extensive collection of soundtracks from across the Virtua Fighter series, and rare artwork celebrating the franchise’s 30-year history. Plus, players can take advantage of a 20% discount on each edition until February 2, 2025.
