Saber Interactive’s 3D Realms label and Knights Peak Interactive have announced that the real-time strategy game Tempest Rising will launch on PC via Steam on April 24, 2025. The game offers players a blend of base-building, resource management, and combat in an alternate timeline where nuclear war has reshaped history.

Setting: An Alternate History
Tempest Rising is set in a reimagined 1997 where the Cuban Missile Crisis escalated into full-blown nuclear warfare. The aftermath saw the emergence of the Tempest, a red electrical vine that awakened an ancient race known as the Veti. Players can command two unique factions across single-player campaigns and multiplayer modes.

The game promises deep gameplay with classic RTS elements, including base-building and resource management, alongside fast-paced combat.
