GIANTS Software, the developer behind the acclaimed Farming Simulator series, has announced Farming Simulator VR, a standalone virtual reality farming experience. Set to launch on February 28, 2025, the game will be available exclusively for Meta Quest headsets, including the Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S, and Quest Pro. Pre-orders are now open.

Immersive Farming in Virtual Reality
Farming Simulator VR aims to deliver a hands-on farming experience by leveraging the immersive capabilities of VR. Players can grow crops like corn, wheat, and soybeans while operating authentic machinery from renowned manufacturers such as John Deere, Fendt, and CLAAS. The game allows players to step into the detailed cabins of these vehicles, offering a first-person perspective on agricultural operations.
Beyond fieldwork, players will engage in machine maintenance tasks such as replacing parts and cleaning equipment with power washers. The addition of greenhouse farming introduces new crops like tomatoes, strawberries, and eggplants that can be harvested by hand and sold for profit.

A New Chapter for GIANTS Software
Farming Simulator VR marks an exciting new direction for GIANTS Software as they explore virtual reality within their well-established farming series. With the recent release of Farming Simulator 25, which introduced enhanced visuals, new crops like rice and spinach, and animals such as buffalo, the franchise continues to evolve while staying grounded in its simulation roots.
Having sold over 30 million copies since 2008, the Farming Simulator series has built a loyal following among fans of detailed and realistic gameplay. The move into VR offers a fresh way to experience the challenges and rewards of farming, giving players a more immersive take on the series’ core mechanics.
