Foreign Gnomes has announced the release date for Everhood 2, the sequel to their critically acclaimed action RPG, Everhood. The game launches on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch on March 4, 2025.
A Soul-Searching Journey Through a Musical Universe
Players step into the role of a soul navigating a vibrant, musical universe on the brink of destruction. Facing off against eccentric enemies in rhythmic combat encounters set to over 100 original tracks, players must uncover their own “soul color” and confront the enigmatic Mind Dragon before it’s too late.
The game promises a blend of humor and existential themes, inviting players to engage in philosophical discussions with historical figures like Carl Jung and Terrance McKenna. Players will also forge alliances with a quirky cast of characters including Joan of Arc and a wise-cracking raven, exploring strange worlds such as the war-torn Vegetable Kingdom.

Combating Chaos With Colorful Combos
Combat in Everhood 2 revolves around mastering a unique combo system. Players will wield an array of weapons, each imbued with distinct powers and color-coded energy sources like Willpower and Wisdom. Maintaining unbroken combos unlocks devastating counterattacks, rewarding skillful play.
The arsenal includes both returning favorites like the Moon Blades and Ragnarok, alongside new additions that tap into themes of friendship, ancient curses, and futuristic technology.
Expanding on a Beloved Indie Gem
Chris Nordgren, co-founder of Foreign Gnomes, emphasizes their desire to expand upon the unique elements that made the original Everhood so beloved. While retaining the signature blend of whimsical humor, challenging combat, and psychedelic visuals, Everhood 2 promises deeper exploration of its lore and mechanics, inviting both returning fans and newcomers to delve into its colorful world.
Everhood 2 launches on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch in North America and Europe on March 4, 2025. The Asian release on Nintendo Switch will follow on March 6, 2026.
