Age of Empires and Age of Mythology Expand to Consoles and Introduce New Content in 2025

The Age of Empires series is gearing up for a major year in 2025, with exciting updates for both console and PC players. Notably, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Age of Mythology: Retold are heading to PlayStation 5, alongside new expansions and content updates across platforms.

Age of Mythology: Retold Comes to PlayStation 5

On March 4, Age of Mythology: Retold will launch on PlayStation 5, coinciding with the release of its new expansion, Immortal Pillars. This expansion introduces the Chinese pantheon, complete with new gods, myth units, maps, and gameplay mechanics. The PS5 version will include all the features available on Xbox and PC, ensuring a consistent experience across platforms.

Players opting for the Premium Edition will gain early access to the game starting February 27. This edition includes the Immortal Pillars expansion as well as exclusive bonuses like two unique blessings for the Arena of the Gods mode. Additionally, cross-play support will allow players on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation to compete together.

Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition Heads to PlayStation

This spring, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition will make its way to PlayStation 5. Its arrival will be accompanied by a brand-new DLC expansion that introduces new civilizations and content for Ranked play.
